It has been a turbulent time for the Hornets, with tensions rising over on and off-pitch matters, but the team's support at Carrow Road is set to be unwavering.

Wins away from home do not come easily for Watford, and three points at Carrow Road would be the club's first victory on the road in almost 250 days.

Speaking on Thursday ahead of the game, Dionisi admitted that he is under no illusions about the size of the challenge at hand, as Watford battle to move above the Canaries in the Championship table.

“We are always ready," the Italian insisted, "But there is always an opponent in front of us. It won’t be easy because Norwich won against Charlton, because they have quality.

"Every team is different when they play at home; they are more aggressive and play with the ball better.

“It is important to play better and with courage, with and without the ball, because in every situation it is important to win the match.

“Every game we need to win. After the match against Charlton, we were happy, and now we want to live the same emotions. But it is not easy when you play against any club. It is difficult when you play away.

As Watford look to record their first win on the road since February, they will be backed by a 1,300-strong away end in Norfolk.

Dionisi made a point of thanking the club's travelling support ahead of the 234-mile round trip that awaits.

“I say thanks to our supporters," he said, "Because there will be 1,300 of them near the team. It is not taken for granted. I hope for our supporters to arrive at the best result.”
