Everton have some huge talents at the club right now, but it is somewhat surprising which player has now been billed as the most valuable on the books at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

After Iliman Ndiaye joined Manchester City in the summer for a fee of £60m, there was always going to be a new crown jewel for Everton in terms of the most valuable player in David Moyes’ squad.

Harrison Armstrong looks likely to be very valuable in the near future, while James Garner is already worth a lot, and Jarrad Branthwaite has a £80m asking price. But with new valuations dropping, it is another player who is the highest valued.

Thierno Barry now named as Everton’s most valuable player

For some, Thierno Barry is Everton’s most divisive player, but for others, he is a striker on the way to becoming one of the best in the Premier League. With a better end product this season, Barry would be competing with Erling Haaland thanks to his excellent movement and positioning.

Now, the CIES Football Observatory has released its updated transfer values, and this has seen Barry named to be Everton’s most valuable player with an estimated ‘fair price’ of between £47.8-41m (€49-57m) right now.

This affirms Barry’s position as one of the finest young strikers in the Premier League. However, in the list of most expensive players for each Premier League club, Barry ranks third last, ahead of only Hull City’s Konstantinos Tzolakis and Coventry’s Caleb Yirenkyi.

Barry’s value has skyrocketed since joining Everton

Barry’s upper-tier valuation of £47.8m is over £20m more than the £27m that Everton paid to sign the Frenchman from Villarreal in 2025.

This is a 74 per cent increase, which just showcases how good an investment Barry was for Everton at the time and remains today, as he is having a great season.

Barry is scoring more this season and is even more impressively finding himself in the positions to score a lot more, which means when he puts the finishing side of his game together, he could score a lot of goals.

If Barry can hit double figures this season, that valuation might quickly be pushed up toward the likes of Nicolas Jackson of Aston Villa, who also once had a lot of chances missed, but has now started taking them.
