Ravens rule out four and list three as questionable against Browns

The Ravens ruled out Lamar Jackson and three others and listed three players as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns

The Ravens ruled out four players and listed three more as questionable Friday, leaving seven players with game designations ahead of Sunday’s AFC North matchup against the Browns. Quarterback Lamar Jackson (ankle), center Cam Jurgens (concussion), tight end Matthew Hibner (hand) and defensive tackle Broderick Washington (ankle) will not play. Offensive linemen Emery Jones Jr. (ankle) and Andrew Vorhees (foot) and wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane (wrist) were listed as questionable.

Jackson’s absence means Tyler Huntley will make his second consecutive start after helping Baltimore beat Atlanta 30-23 in overtime. Jackson has not played since he injured his ankle in the first half of the Ravens’ Week 4 win over Tennessee. Jurgens’ Ravens debut will wait another week. He was listed as limited throughout the week, while Hibner and Washington did not practice Friday. Washington was limited Wednesday before missing the final two sessions.

The questionable designations add uncertainty to Baltimore’s offensive line. Jones and Vorhees were listed as limited all three days, while Lane was a full participant throughout the week despite receiving a questionable designation. Encouraging developments appeared elsewhere in the report. Rashod Bateman (shoulder) returned to full participation Friday after missing Thursday’s practice. Mike Green (hamstring), Teddye Buchanan (groin) and Trenton Simpson (hamstring) also improved to full participation.

Trey Hendrickson (finger) was a full participant all week and received no game designation, putting the Ravens in position to get an important pass rusher back. Zay Flowers remained limited with a toe injury Friday but also received no game designation.

Ronnie Stanley did not practice Friday and was listed with rest, toe, and ankle issues, while Calais Campbell missed the session for rest. Neither received a game designation. Baltimore enters at 4-1, one game ahead of Cleveland. The Ravens will try to extend that lead without their starting quarterback and three other players, with Sunday’s inactive list settling the availability of the three listed as questionable.
