The former Hoops boss has transformed Al-Qadsiah into title contenders since arriving in Saudi Arabia and on Tuesday night notched his 26th league victory in charge, equalling the mark set by predecessor Míchel despite reaching the figure in seven fewer matches.
Rodgers had to wait until the dying seconds for the milestone moment as former Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders struck in the 96th minute to secure a priceless 1-0 win over Al-Taawoun.
The victory underlined the remarkable progress being made under the Northern Irishman, whose side have emerged as genuine challengers after their rapid rise from the Saudi second tier.
Three points moved Al-Qadsiah onto 25 points at the top of the standings, one point clear of Al-Hilal, although their nearest rivals have a game in hand.
Rodgers now has the chance to strengthen his grip on first place immediately, with a crunch showdown against Al-Hilal scheduled for Friday.
Off the pitch, Al-Qadsiah are preparing for an exciting new era with the club set to move into the spectacular 47,000-capacity Aramco Stadium, a multi-million-pound venue which will also be used during the 2034 World Cup.
For Rodgers, though, the focus remains firmly on delivering silverware. And if his blistering start in Saudi Arabia is anything to go by, the former Celtic boss is showing once again why he remains one of British football's most successful managers.
