Baradji names three people helping him Blackburn Rovers

The midfielder got his first start of the season at the weekend and impressed in a deeper role. It was arguably his best performance in blue and white.

Baradji has polarised opinion in his first 12 months as a Rovers but in his second season, he's hoping for more consistency.

After a period to adapt to the Championship, learn the language and overcome some injuries, Baradji thanked those who have helped him settle at Ewood Park.

"Last year was my first season," he told RoversTV.

"I am growing on the pitch, growing up outside the pitch. I am speaking with Todd, AK is my big brother here and with Rudy and the gaffer.

"I have something to take from them. They are helping me so much.

"I am enjoying my football. I got injured in pre-season and I wanted to come back strong.

"The gaffer speaks with me and gives me confidence. You saw that on the pitch.

"Sam (Morsy) has so much experience and he's helping me on the pitch. He speaks with me all the time and I'm happy to have him with me.

"In my position, he is telling me when to go and stay which is important for me."

Victory over Wrexham was Rovers' third in a row, meaning they have lost just one of their last six games, winning four.

The shift in mood at Ewood Park has been noticeable for everyone, especially the players.

Baradji made that point and stressed how important the supporters have been for the players fighting on the pitch.

"I am very happy with the performance of the team," he said.

"I am very happy to get the three points. The weather was not the best but we got another three points for our fans, which was amazing.

"It is different from last year; at Ewood Park the team is more comfortable. You can see this in the last few weeks with the performances.

"We are happy to be here with the fans. When you're on the pitch, you can feel they are the 12th man on the pitch.

"Whether you're on the bench on the pitch, you can see we are playing some amazing moments, some tough moments but it was a great mentality."

The challenge for Baradji is now to earn a run of starts, as laid down to him by Tony Mowbray.

With Sam Morsy suspended, he will almost certainly line up alongside Kristi Montgomery, should he be fit as expected.

That will be another test against a Swansea side who have been excellent in their first 12 games.

"It was my first start," he reflected.

"I hope it is not the last and I can keep playing every game. That's what I am here for, to keep playing.

"I will keep working hard in training and I want to play every match."
