Patriots Week 8 injury report: Good news, bad news vs. Dolphins

The New England Patriots weren't able to escape from injury purgatory ahead of Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.

They haven't ruled anyone out officially, but the team has four key players listed as questionable for the Week 8 matchup. The most surprising name on the list is star wide receiver A.J. Brown, who is dealing with both an ankle and knee injury.

Brown had been playing through the ankle injury, but a previous knee injury reportedly flared up and kept him out of the last two straight practices. That doesn't bode well for his chances of playing, but the Patriots haven't completely closed the door on the possibility.

The good news for the Patriots is that veteran guard Ben Brown was a full participant at practice on Friday, and he currently doesn't have an injury designation. Cornerback Carlton Davis III has also been a full participant at practice all week. There's a light at the end of the tunnel for the injury-riddled Patriots, but they clearly haven't arrived at that point yet.

Here's the full injury report for both the Patriots and Dolphins from Friday:
