Martin O’Neill provides fresh Celtic injury update

The Celtic player was substituted in the second half, having had an injury-hit start to the season. However, O'Neill put supporters' minds at ease by revealing that Osmand was merely suffering from cramp. He said: "Yeah, he was cramping.

"That's totally understandable. Really understandable from his viewpoint. That's fine. He's had very little football. He's been injured basically since the start of the season. He's coming round. He's done really well for us.

"Each time he was moving in the last three or four minutes, he was just cramping."

Despite the reassurance, Celtic's night was marred by a 2-1 defeat, with Celta Vigo securing all three points at home in the Europa League.

They sit on zero points after playing three games. Their next match is against Turkish side Besiktas next month.
