Roberto De Zerbi oversaw a massive squad overhaul at Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window. 10 players were brought in, while a lot more than that figure left the club, either on loan or permanently.
Spurs loaned out academy talent Mikey Moore to FC Koln in the Bundesliga. The teenager, who spent the last season on loan at Rangers, has started the campaign well with FC Koln. Even though he has yet to contribute a goal or an assist, the attacker has impressed with his work rate, speed, directness and movement.
Tottenham chiefs have been keeping a close watch on Moore’s performance and development at FC Koln. The North London club scouts recently watched him in action against Eintracht Frankfurt. Simultaneously, they made the trip to Deutsche Bank Park to monitor an in-form Bundesliga striker.
According to an exclusive report from TEAMtalk, Spurs scouts were in attendance at the Deutsche Bank Park to watch Younes Ebnoutalib in action for Eintracht Frankfurt against FC Koln. The trip turned out to be productive for the scouts as Younes Ebnoutalib scored the pivotal goal in Eintracht Frankfurt’s 1-0 victory over Koln on Friday.
It was the 23-year-old’s fifth Bundesliga goal of the campaign, helping Frankfurt settle the contest. The Frankfurt striker’s form in the Bundesliga have caught the attention of several clubs across Europe, and his profile was further enhanced when new Germany head coach Jurgen Klopp named him in his squad for September’s UEFA Nations League games.
Tottenham have been tracking Ebnoutalib, and their latest scouting mission gave them another opportunity to watch his progress. However, the report adds that several clubs are doing detailed work on the Frankfurt forward ahead of the winter transfer window.

Things aren’t going according to plan for De Zerbi, who has struggled to get the best out of his players this season. Despite bringing in the likes of Savio, Omar Marmoush and Mykhailo Mudryk, Spurs could opt to add more firepower to the attack when the transfer window reopens in January.
Reputed journalist David Ornstein revealed last month that the Lilywhites might look to invest in a new No.9 as Richarlison’s long-term replacement. Spurs have been showing an interest in Ebnoutalib following his strong start to the campaign. The 23-year-old only joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Elversberg in the winter transfer window but is already establishing himself as one of the most dangerous centre-forwards in Germany.
The Moroccan-born Germany international, who plays a bit like Miroslav Klose, has the mix of technical ability and physicality to thrive in the Premier League. The Frankfurt man could give a much-needed focal point to Tottenham’s attack, while competing with Dominic Solanke in the squad.
It remains to be seen whether Frankfurt would be open to a mid-season departure, but the North Londoners must try their best to sign Ebnoutalib.
