Fans can own a piece of Ballon d’Or history - but they'll need to be quick
Fans can own a piece of Ballon d’Or history - but they'll need to be quick

Football’s most prestigious personal award will be announced this weekend with England’s Harry Kane up against Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe for the coveted title.

The award has delivered thousands of headlines as the leading candidates plead their case in interviews.

Now fans can get in on the act with a unique bit of football history after new Ballon d’Or merchandise tie-in was revealed before the ceremony.

Slick Gorilla, the men's hair brand known for its viral barbershop-inspired styling products, is launching an official Ballon d’Or range ahead of the ceremony on 26 October 2026 and the limited-edition collection comes with a unique, one-off, and time-limited official Ballon d’Or football.

The black and gold box barber box set comes with a one-off Ballon d’Or football, and the brand says once the collection sells out it will never be restocked.

The rest of the official Ballon d’Or range includes a Ballon d'Or Sea Salt Spray, listed at £14.95, and a Ballon d'Or Texture Powder, also available through the brand's official website.

There's also a Ballon d'Or Styling Set, priced at £22.95, which includes a Cream Styler and Texture Comb.

The set will go on sale at the same time as the Ballon d’Or ceremony for a short time only, meaning football fans have a small window to secure their limited edition football and get their own piece of history.

The set could mark the first time Lamine Yamal, Harry Kane, or Kylian Mbappe have ever won the Ballon d’Or after years of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo dominance.

Slick Gorilla says the set is based on the growing culture between footballers and their haircuts. Ballon d’Or favourite Lamine Yamal recently found himself making headlines after his barber was filmed arriving in a Rolls Royce to give him a new World Cup haircut.

The brand says the exclusive Ballon d'Or collaboration taps into that overlap between football, grooming and the culture surrounding the game.
