Como Humiliate Manchester United 4-1 as Nico Paz Shines in Champions League

Manchester United suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat against Como on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, as Nico Paz delivered an outstanding performance in the UEFA Champions League.

Como took control of the match at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, leaving United struggling to cope with their attacking play. The result added to the pressure on Manchester United after a difficult run of form.

Paz opened the scoring in the second minute with a well-taken goal, giving the home side an early advantage. United had to work hard to recover, but Como maintained their threat and went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

The Italian side increased their advantage shortly after half-time. Anastasios Douvikas scored in the 49th minute, with Paz providing the assist. The goal put Como in a strong position and made the task even harder for the visitors.

Paz then scored his second goal of the evening in the 57th minute, extending Como's lead to 3-0. His contribution proved decisive as the hosts continued to find space against a struggling United defence.

Jacobo Ramón added Como's fourth goal in the 76th minute, completing an impressive team performance. Manchester United managed a late consolation goal through Joshua Zirkzee in stoppage time, but it did little to change the outcome.

The 4-1 victory was a major statement from Como under head coach Cesc Fàbregas. Their attacking movement, confidence and ability to punish defensive mistakes proved too much for the English club.

For Manchester United, the defeat raised further questions about their consistency and ability to respond under pressure. Reports following the match indicated that the result extended their winless run to seven games, increasing concerns among supporters.

United will need to improve their defending and attacking organisation if they are to turn their fortunes around. Meanwhile, Como can take confidence from a convincing European performance led by the impressive Paz.

Who was your Man of the Match? Was it Nico Paz for his two goals, Douvikas for his important strike, or Ramón for helping complete the emphatic victory? Share your thoughts in the comments.
