By expanding access to modern facilities, the government aims to support talent identification, nurture young athletes and provide opportunities for emerging sportsmen, women to develop their abilities.

Investment in sports infrastructure is also expected to generate economic benefits for surrounding communities.

Construction activities and future events can create employment, support local businesses and attract visitors interested in sporting competitions, tourism.

Eldoret's reputation as the Home of Champions makes the stadium particularly significant, offering a facility that connects Kenya's celebrated athletics heritage with the ambitions of the next generation.

The development reflects the growing focus on sports as both a source of national pride and a potential contributor to economic growth.
