Brighton & Hove Albion under 33-year-old manager Fabian Hürzeler have rapidly transformed into the absolute darling of English football, prompting widespread discussion regarding where this thrilling side ranks among the Premier League’s all-time neutrals' favourites.

Sitting high up near the summit of the table following their best-ever start to a top-flight campaign, the Seagulls have won over objective observers by coupling an ultra-aggressive high line with dynamic offensive fluidity.

When measuring Hürzeler’s Brighton against historic fan-favourites like Kevin Keegan’s iconic mid-1990s Newcastle United "Entertainers," the tactical similarities are striking.

While Keegan relied on chaotic emotional momentum and sheer individual attacking power, Hürzeler’s setup is an intricate masterpiece of modern pressing and ruthless vertical progression.

Both sides share a foundational refusal to compromise their attacking principles regardless of opposition pedigree, turning every single match into must-watch television for football purists.

Other notable sides in this elite category of fan favourites include Harry Redknapp’s daring Tottenham Hotspur, Mauricio Pochettino’s energetic young Spurs, and Marcelo Bielsa’s breathless Leeds United.

Hürzeler’s team fits seamlessly into this lineage because they combine intense tactical bravery with genuine structural discipline.

Watching Brighton bypass opposition presses with rapid vertical passes while taking immense calculated risks in defensive transition represents modern coaching at its absolute peak.

While Keegan’s Newcastle ultimately fell narrowly short of ultimate domestic glory, Hürzeler’s Brighton are proving that an entertaining brand of football can be sustained by elite tactical organization.

As the Seagulls continue to go toe-to-toe with the league’s traditionally wealthier powerhouses, their fearless philosophy ensures they remain at the absolute peak of every neutral supporter's weekly watch list.
