Pascal Gross has made an impressive start to the 2026/27 season, contributing goals and assists for Brighton & Hove Albion as the midfielder continues to play an important role in the club’s Premier League campaign.

According to statistics published by Opta Analyst, Gross had recorded three goals and four assists in six Premier League appearances as of October 2026. The figures underline his contribution to Brighton’s attacking play during the opening weeks of the season. Source: Opta Analyst.

The 35-year-old German midfielder has featured in every one of Brighton’s first six league matches, starting all six and completing 540 minutes, according to the same statistical record.

Gross also played a key role in Brighton’s 2-0 away victory over Sunderland on October 10. According to The Guardian, he provided the through ball that set up Maxim De Cuyper’s opening goal in the second half.

The assist extended Gross’s contribution to seven direct goal involvements in his previous six Premier League appearances, demonstrating his influence in Brighton’s attacking build-up.

Brighton’s strong start has also attracted attention because of the midfielder’s experience and consistency. A report published by Football365 on October 15 identified Gross as the Premier League’s leading player for distance covered during the season, highlighting his work rate alongside his creative output.

Gross returned to Brighton in January 2026 after a spell with Borussia Dortmund. The club confirmed that he signed an 18-month contract running until June 2027.

During his first spell at Brighton, Gross established himself as one of the club’s influential players, making 261 appearances across competitions before leaving for Germany in 2024. His return brought valuable experience back to the squad.

With the 2026/27 campaign still in its early stages, Gross’s performances have positioned him among Brighton’s key contributors. His goals, assists and work rate have provided a strong foundation for the season, although his overall impact will depend on maintaining that form as the campaign progresses.
