Arsenal Eye Nicolo Tresoldi as Christos Tzolis Connection Could Prove Crucial

Arsenal may have another name to consider as they continue looking for greater firepower in attack, with Nicolo Tresoldi reportedly emerging as a potential target ahead of the January transfer window. According to The Sun, the Gunners are interested in the Club Brugge striker, and Christos Tzolis could play an important role because of their previous connection in Belgium.

For Arsenal supporters, the question is familiar. Can Mikel Arteta find a centre-forward who delivers goals consistently and gives the team another dimension in attack? With the season progressing, that debate is once again attracting attention.

Why Arsenal Are Looking at Another Striker

As reported by Pain in the Arsenal on October 21, Arsenal's number nine position remains a concern despite the arrival of Viktor Gyokeres. The Swedish striker has struggled to find consistent form in the early stages of the campaign, while Kai Havertz has also faced concerns over his fitness.

Havertz offers Arteta tactical flexibility, but his injury history means Arsenal cannot always rely on him to lead the line. Gyokeres, meanwhile, needs to deliver more consistently if he is to establish himself as the club's first-choice striker.

According to The Sun, Tresoldi has attracted Arsenal's attention after an impressive start to the season with Club Brugge. The report says the forward has scored nine goals in 12 appearances across competitions, including a hat-trick in a Champions League encounter against Inter Milan.

Those numbers help explain why the 22-year-old is attracting interest. Arsenal need attacking players who can make the difference in tight matches, particularly when opponents defend deep and leave little space to exploit.

How Christos Tzolis Could Help

Tzolis is familiar with Tresoldi from their time together at Club Brugge. That previous understanding could become useful if Arsenal decide to pursue the German-born forward.

Having played alongside each other, the pair may already understand one another's movements and attacking instincts. Such familiarity can help players settle more quickly, although success in Belgium does not automatically guarantee the same results in the Premier League.

Tzolis, who joined Arsenal from Club Brugge during the summer, could also offer Tresoldi an insight into life in North London. However, there is no confirmation that the winger is actively involved in convincing his former teammate to make the move.

A Deal That Could Face Competition

Arsenal may not have a straightforward path to signing Tresoldi. The Sun reports that Club Brugge have already rejected a bid from Roma and that AC Milan could also be interested in the striker.

Any potential move would therefore depend on the Belgian club's valuation, Arsenal's willingness to meet the asking price and the player's own ambitions.

For now, supporters should treat the reports as transfer speculation rather than evidence of an agreement.

Arsenal's need for consistent goals is clear, but whether Tresoldi becomes the answer remains to be seen. If Arteta decides to strengthen his attack in January, the existing connection between Tzolis and Tresoldi could make the young striker an interesting option to watch.
