Manchester United are reportedly preparing to overhaul their defence in 2027, with Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite emerging as a potential priority signing.
According to Football Insider, the England defender remains high on United’s shortlist, more than two years after the club saw two bids rejected by Everton.
However, Liverpool have also been linked with the 24-year-old, although Everton would reportedly prefer not to sell the defender to their Merseyside rivals.
The Toffees are said to value Branthwaite at approximately £80 million, potentially making any transfer an expensive undertaking for interested clubs.
United are also reportedly considering selling Lisandro Martinez after triggering an option to extend his contract, which could help fund their defensive rebuilding plans.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are reportedly preparing crunch talks with Brazilian winger Estevao Willian amid concerns about his reduced playing time under head coach Xabi Alonso.
TEAMtalk reports that the teenager is increasingly frustrated with his role after an impressive debut season, having expected to feature more regularly.
Chelsea signed Estevao from Palmeiras in a deal that could reach £50 million, and the club reportedly continue to view him as an important part of their future.
However, the 19-year-old could reassess his situation by January if he fails to secure more consistent opportunities in Alonso’s starting lineup.
Despite the speculation, a winter departure appears uncertain, with no potential suitors identified in the report.
Elsewhere, Brighton and RB Leipzig are reportedly monitoring Juventus winger Adin Licina, who is currently on loan at Italian side Cremonese.
The 19-year-old has attracted attention with his performances, although any potential transfer is more likely to happen next summer.
Juventus are expected to decide whether to retain or sell the promising winger in the coming months, with a January move reportedly not entirely ruled out.
