NPFL cracks down on fan over threat to officials, away teams

The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has directed that a football fan, Jamilu Murtala, be suspended from all league activities with immediate effect because of his continuous threat to the safety of match officials and away teams.

Ranchers Bees, who have currently adopted the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, as their temporary homeground, complained of the access granted to Murtala by the host state FA to restricted areas of the pitch during their home games.

‎Ranchers Bees in their complaint to the NPFL, dissociated themselves from Murtala as he is considered to have constantly constituted nuisance during their home fixtures.

The NPFL has now barred the the individual from the ground in order to ensure sanity and orderliness.
