Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have been named as among the front-runners to sign Nicolo Tresoldi, who has nine goals in 11 matches so far this season.

Over the last week, several outlets have suggested that Tottenham and Arsenal could both be battling it out for many of the same players in the next couple of windows.

Both North London clubs have been credited with interest in Kim Min-jae, and the two fierce rivals are also thought to be keen on adding a number nine to their squad in January.

As a result, Spurs and the Gunners have also been mooted as potential destinations for Eli Junior Kroupi, who is stepping up his comeback from his foot injury.

It has now emerged that a Germany U21 striker is also on the radar of Mikel Arteta’s side and Roberto De Zerbi’s men.

Tottenham and Arsenal want to sign Nicolo Tresoldi despite price rise

During the summer, it emerged that Spurs are admirers of Nicolo Tresoldi and had enquired about his availability, but the forward remained at Club Brugge.

He has had a sensational start to the new season, and a new report in TuttoSport (as relayed by Sport Witness) now claims that the interest in his services is growing.

It is revealed that Roma attempted to sign Tresoldi for a package worth €35m (£30m) in the summer, but the offer was turned down by the Belgian club.

Brugge quoted €60m (£50m) to the Serie A club for the centre-forward at that point, and it is revealed that his price has now increased even further in light of the way he has started the season.

The report says that Arsenal are ‘among the front-runners’ to sign the 22-year-old, while Tottenham are also in the chase, having ‘examined’ the striker over recent months.

Tresoldi is also on the radar of European giants

It is not the German’s performance in Belgium alone that has put him in the spotlight, but also his displays in Europe, with the Brugge man having scored four in two Champions League outings this season.

Tuttosport say that the two Premier League giants have been joined in the race for Tresoldi by Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, all of whom have been keeping an eye on the former Hannover player.

Finally, the report adds that the Cagliari-born centre-forward has always dreamed of wearing the famous AC Milan colours, but a move to the San Siro seems a far-fetched possibility for the youngster at the moment.
