Blacks Power FC player Ivan Okello has successfully undergone surgery at Bukedea Teaching Hospital following a compound fracture to his right leg.

The club confirmed the development in a statement shared on its social media platforms, thanking the medical specialists at the facility for their care and expertise.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the medical specialists at Bukedea Teaching Hospital for their care and expertise,” the club said.

Okello now begins his recovery journey, with the Black Warriors pledging their support as he works towards regaining full fitness.

“As Ivan begins his recovery journey, we stand firmly behind him and wish him a smooth, speedy, and full recovery. Stay strong, Ivan! The entire Black Warriors family is with you,” the club added.

The club did not disclose a timeline for the player’s return to action but hopefully the player can return strong to play the beautiful game.

A compound fracture occurs when a broken bone breaks through the skin, often requiring surgical intervention and a carefully managed rehabilitation process.

Blacks Power will hope Okello makes a full recovery and returns to the pitch when medically cleared.
