Barça booked their place in the Super Cup final with a hard-fought 5-3 victory over Liceo in a thrilling semifinal. The match was evenly contested from the start, but goals from Nico Ojeda and Davide Gavioli, who scored his first goal for the club, gave the blaugrana a 2-0 lead. Liceo pulled one back through Arnau Xaus before halftime to keep the tie alive.
After the break, Alabart restored Barça’s two-goal advantage, although Xaus immediately responded from a direct free hit. Barça continued to show their composure, with Martí Casas making it 4-2 during a power play. Goalkeeper Carles Grau then produced a crucial save from a direct free hit to preserve the lead.
Liceo set up a tense finish when Nuno Paiva reduced the gap to 4-3, but Marc Grau sealed the win late on with Barça’s fifth goal. The victory sends the blaugrana into Sunday’s Super Cup final against Igualada, where they will aim to continue their impressive start to the season.
