Paris Saint-Germain Feminines have confirmed Rasheedat Ajibade will undergo surgery after she fractured her fibula on international duty.

Ajibade sustained the injury during the second leg of Nigeria’s 2028 Olympic Games second qualifying round tie against Comoros at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne.

The 26-year-old was replaced by Folashade Ijamilusi in the 23rd minute of the encounter which the Super Falcons won 5-0.

The surgery, according to PSG, will be performed by the club’s leading surgeons.

Ajibade will afterwards begin rehabilitation with the medical team.

The timeline for her recovery is expected to be announced by PSG
