Chairman Fuzy appeals to Otumfuo to hand Asante Kotoko over to supporters

Brong Ahafo Regional Circles Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Chairman Fuzy, has appealed to the club’s life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to consider handing the management of the club over to its supporters.

Chairman Fuzy made the appeal while expressing the concerns of supporters about the future direction of the Porcupine Warriors, calling for greater involvement of the fan base in the club’s affairs.

“We beg Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to give the team to the supporters,” Chairman Fuzy said to the media after the game.

He believes that placing the club in the hands of its supporters could give them a stronger voice in decisions concerning its administration, operations and long-term future.

Asante Kotoko, one of Ghana’s most prominent football clubs, has a large and passionate following, with supporters playing an important role in its identity and history.

The club operates under a leadership structure appointed by its life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. The current board, chaired by James Osei Brown, was appointed following the end of the 2025/26 season as part of efforts to rebuild the club and restore its standing in Ghanaian and African football.

Chairman Fuzy’s appeal adds to ongoing conversations about the role supporters should play in the administration of the Porcupine Warriors and how their concerns can be reflected in decisions affecting the club.
