Manchester United source labels Bruno Fernandes remarks “toxic” after Como defeat

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has reportedly caused unrest within the club after criticising the coaching staff’s tactical decisions following a 4-1 Champions League defeat by Como.

According to journalist Jamie Jackson, club staff and senior figures are extremely disappointed by the Portugal midfielder’s comments and feel “betrayed” by the player.

One senior Manchester United source described Fernandes’ remarks as “toxic”, while the club’s leadership is understood to have unanimously backed the manager.

Michael Carrick is among those said to be unhappy with Fernandes’ criticism.
