Felix Auger-Aliassime and Alexander Bublik have withdrawn from the Paris Masters, which runs from November 2 to November 8, tournament organizers confirmed to AFP on Tuesday. The decision removes the defending finalist and another high-profile seed from the final ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, altering the singles draw weeks before the tournament begins.
Auger-Aliassime, currently ranked number 7 in the world, sustained a left knee injury during the Shanghai Masters earlier in October. Having already missed scheduled appearances at the ATP 250 tournaments in Brussels and Basel, Auger-Aliassime is set to drop out of the world top 10 rankings.
The Canadian is no longer able to qualify for the prestigious season-ending Masters in Turin, scheduled for November 15 to November 22. He previously competed in the year-end tournament in 2022 and 2025.
Alexander Bublik joins the tournament withdrawal list alongside Auger-Aliassime. The 20th-ranked player from Kazakhstan pulled out of the Paris entry list on Monday, an absence first highlighted by the sports daily L’Équipe before being confirmed by tournament sources. Bublik reached the semifinals at Paris in 2025, where he fell to Auger-Aliassime. His current absence stems from a right knee injury suffered at the recent ATP 250 tournament in Almaty, where he retired after one set in the semifinals against eventual champion Daniil Medvedev, who holds the number 5 ranking.
The withdrawals of Auger-Aliassime and Bublik alter the immediate entry list for the Paris event. France’s Luca Van Assche, ranked 46th, and Italy’s Matteo Berrettini, ranked 48th, move directly into the main singles draw as a result of the openings. Both players bypass the qualifying rounds.
Tournament preparations continue ahead of the opening matches on November 2, with officials finalizing replacement seedings and qualifier allocations following the late October roster adjustments.
