After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Bayern Munich and Arsenal will go head-to-head in the Champions League on Wednesday night at the Allianz Arena, as both teams look to maintain their unbeaten record in the competition.
Vincent Kompany's side had been held to consecutive draws against Augsburg and Viking in their last two games before they crushed RB Leipzig with a 6-1 win in the Bundesliga this weekend, keeping them unbeaten in all competitions so far in this campaign. Mikel Arteta's team, on the other hand, have claimed three consecutive wins and have won both Champions League games this season.
Both teams have some selection headaches heading into the game, and this is how GIVEMESPORT expects the sides to line up.
Bayern Munich will be without superstar playmaker Michael Olise after he was sent off in the 3-3 draw with Viking last week, meaning youngster Lennart Karl could get the nod in attack.
Jamal Musiala remains sidelined with a thigh injury, while Manuel Neuer is also a doubt for the game with a foot problem, although there is hope he could be available.

Arsenal winger Noni Madueke is pushing for a start after netting the winning goal against Nottingham Forest this weekend, with Christos Tzolis still sidelined with a hamstring problem.
William Saliba remains unavailable despite returning to individual training on the grass recently, while Piero Hincapie has returned to training, but this game could come too soon for the Ecuador international. Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is also a doubt with a knock.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Arteta shared an update on his squad ahead of the game.
"Zubi[mendi] is back with us, so he will be involved tomorrow, and Piero [Hincapie], let’s see if he’s able to train in the next few days as well, he can be available for Everton, which is great news.
"This is good because we have some really good players, the expectations are so big for all of them and we want more from everybody, and that’s the mindset. That’s what is going to make us better individually as a team so I hope that continues because that’s going to push all of us to reach different kinds of levels and be better."
Arteta will be keen to maintain momentum, which should see a strong team selection in Munich. Lewis-Skelly has impressed in midfield this season and could get the nod ahead of £70m signing Bruno Guimaraes.
Eberechi Eze struggled against Forest, while Gyokeres has fallen down the pecking order, and both are likely to have to make do with a place on the bench once again.
