Pedro Neto’s Everton double earns Premier League round-seven honour

Pedro Neto has been named the Premier League’s best player for the seventh round of fixtures after scoring both of Chelsea’s goals in their 2-0 victory at Everton.

The award was announced by the competition’s official social media channels.

Neto opened the scoring in the first half at Goodison Park before completing his brace after the interval, securing a clean-sheet win for Chelsea in Liverpool.

The result lifted Chelsea to 13 points and left them fourth in the Premier League table. They are eight points behind the leaders, five adrift of second place and three points short of third.

Chelsea have been managed by the Spanish coach Xabi Alonso since last summer.
