Leeds United have made a great start to the Premier League campaign, losing just one of seven games. Micah Richards has predicted where the Whites will finish, and has told Anton Stach where to improve.
Sunday afternoon saw Leeds draw against Manchester United. There was an air of disappointment among the terraces at full-time that Leeds didn’t win, but it shows how far Leeds have come under Daniel Farke.
Leeds are currently in seventh place, with three Premier League games left to play before the break. Up next are two tricky away games at Sunderland and Bournemouth, before hosting Spurs on November 7.
Stach has been excellent for Leeds so far. While Sunday was not his best performance, the midfielder has won his place back with Germany, scoring against Nottingham Forest and topping Leeds’ running charts.

Indeed, Stach is joint-first for distance covered in the Premier League at the moment, clocking up a huge 82.3km alongside Brentford’s Vitaly Janelt. On The Rest Is Football, Richards had one criticism of Stach.
“In midfield, I love Stach and his energy. I wish he had a little bit more composure at times. Gudmundsson offers the width on the left-hand side as well. And the rotations between the teams look really good.”
Richards is renowned for supporting a handful of clubs, often singing ‘Marching on Together’ on the pod alongside Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer. Perhaps a little biased, he predicted where Leeds will finish.

After a 14th-place finish last season, and currently sitting in seventh, Richards believes a top-half finish is well within Leeds’ reach. It comes after Ray Parlour backed the Whites to end up in the top 10 as well.
“How high can they finish? Top 10 is a realistic target. Some of the games that they’ve drawn, they could have got over the line. And I think Calvert-Lewin needs someone else to help him with the goals as well.”
Last season, Leeds clocked up a total of 47 points despite a dismal first couple of months to the season in which the Whites almost sacked Daniel Farke at the end of the year. But Leeds rallied and improved.
This season, Opta’s Supercomputer think Leeds will improve by a total of three points and finish as high as ninth. Leeds’ chances of a Champions League place are rated at 8%, while relegation is deemed similar.
If Leeds finished ninth, it would be their joint-best Premier League season in 20 years, having finished in ninth place under Marcelo Bielsa during his first-ever season in England’s top flight. Plenty left to do.
