Roberto De Zerbi has provided a positive injury update on Tottenham trio Andy Robertson, Tosin Adarabioyo and Omar Marmoush, all of whom came off in the second half with niggles.
Tottenham’s injury list has suddenly grown after three fresh problems to key players following the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
Lucas Bergvall and Savio joined the treatment table, with Tottenham already without Xavi Simons, Wilson Odobert, Pedro Porro, and Mykhailo Mudryk.
Destiny Udogie was also not fit enough to start against Coventry City, with Andy Robertson returning to the eleven, and there are concerns that more players may have been added to the injury list.
The return of James Maddison to the starting eleven and Dejan Kulusevski’s first appearance in a year and a half were huge positives for the Lilywhites.
However, Robertson was hobbling for several minutes before he was replaced by Conor Gallagher, while Adaribayo also went down and received treatment before being replaced by Mateus Fernandes.
To make matters worse, Marmoush was seen limping and clutching his right calf just before coming off in the final minutes of the game.

However, De Zerbi has seemingly indicated that none of those three players has any serious issues.
When asked if there are any fresh injuries to the likes of Robertson, Tosin and Marmoush, the Tottenham boss simply responded (via Football.London): “No, no, no, I think there are no injuries, nothing important.”
Despite the significant number of injury absentees, Spurs managed to get the job done and secure much-needed three points against the newly promoted side.
De Zerbi admitted that he had to come up with a creative system with three at the back and three players in the pocket, given the players that were missing.
When asked what he thought of Archie Gray’s performance in midfield alongside Sandro Tonali, the Tottenham boss said: “I prepared the game three at the back, one midfielder and three players in the pocket, Marmoush, James Maddison and Archie Gray, with normally these three totally different players.
“Marmoush more an attacker, Maddison more playing in the pocket, for the link with the defenders, with Tonali, and Archie Gray to go in overlapping and underlapping Kudus. I think two players [in those pockets] they scored.
“Robertson played as a winger, and in the first half played very well, Kudus also, I liked his performance, and especially in the second half, because in the first half I think it was too difficult to find the space, Solanke played a good second half.”
