Philadelphia 76ers forward LeBron James accidentally gave teammate VJ Edgecombe a bloody nose while the two were going for a defensive rebound in the third quarter of their home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday evening.
To start the sequence, Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen missed a free throw with four minutes left in the frame. Cleveland guard Donovan Mitchell initially pushed James from behind in the battle for the board, leading to a loose ball foul call.
As James went up in the air, his left arm connected with Edgecombe's nose.
Thankfully, this was much ado about nothing, and Edgecombe was able to stay in the game after taking care of the matter. James also hit a pair of free throws following the foul call.
