Bayern Munich have unveiled a special-edition shirt for Harry Kane to celebrate the England captain’s triumph at the 2026 Ballon d’Or awards.
The German champions introduced a gold-themed personalisation for their current home jersey following Kane’s victory at Monday’s ceremony in London, with the striker’s iconic number nine redesigned in gold to reflect his latest individual honour. Blueprint reports
The special design features a metallic-gold number nine containing a collage of photographs capturing memorable moments from Kane’s time at Bayern. The Ballon d’Or emblem also appears at the base of the number, while his name and the club inscription remain in white against the traditional red shirt.
The customised jersey was made available through Bayern’s official store shortly after the award was announced.
The club also illuminated the Allianz Arena in gold, displaying Kane’s name on the stadium’s exterior in a tribute to the forward’s achievement.
Kane, 33, won the Ballon d’Or for the first time in his career, finishing ahead of Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.
The award capped an outstanding 2025/26 season in which Kane scored 73 goals for Bayern Munich and England, including 36 in the Bundesliga, helping the Bavarian side secure the league title and complete a domestic double.
He also won the Gerd Müller Trophy, awarded to the season’s leading goalscorer, further underlining his influence for club and country.
Kane becomes the first Bayern Munich player to win the Ballon d’Or since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981, ending a 45-year wait for the club to celebrate another winner of football’s most prestigious individual award.
In his acceptance speech, Kane thanked his teammates and the Bayern coaching staff, saying their support and the competitive environment at the club had helped him develop as a player, a person and a leader.
The special shirt adds to the celebrations surrounding Kane’s landmark achievement as Bayern prepare to honour their star striker in front of their supporters.
