Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has responded to critics questioning his recent performances for Galatasaray on Wednesday night, New Telegraph reports.
The Nigerian striker faced criticism following his displays in the Turkish club’s last two matches against Barcelona and Gençlerbirliği.
Galatasaray suffered a disappointing 4-1 defeat to Barcelona before returning to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 victory over Gençlerbirliği.
Osimhen, however, answered his critics in style on Wednesday night, playing a key role in Galatasaray’s 4-2 victory over his former club, Lille.
The 27-year-old striker scored in the fiercely contested encounter and was subsequently named Man of the Match in recognition of his impressive display.
Responding to the criticism, Osimhen maintained that negative comments would not affect him, emphasising that he had developed the resilience needed to overcome challenges throughout his career.
“I come from a place where I’m not afraid; I don’t fear difficulties. No one can tell me how to sprint, how to play, how to score goals—I already do these things, and that’s why I’m one of the world’s best strikers,” the forward said in an interview after the game.
