WAFU B U-17: Black Starlets to face Ivory Coast in semi-finals

Ghana’s Black Starlets will face Ivory Coast in the semi-finals of the 2026 WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship after the Ivorians finished second in Group B.

The semi-final will take place on Tuesday at 16:00 GMT. The winners will reach the final and secure qualification for the 2027 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Ivory Coast booked their place in the last four after drawing 1-1 with Nigeria on Saturday. They finished second behind group winners Niger, setting up a meeting with Ghana, who topped Group A without losing a match.

Coach Kassim Ocansey’s team collected seven points from three group games. They beat Togo and Benin before ending the group stage with a goalless draw against hosts Burkina Faso.
