David Raum has opened up about his RB Leipzig future and expiring contract amid links with clubs including Manchester United and Juventus.
With his contract expiring at the end of the season, RB Leipzig captain David Raum has yet to hold substantive talks with the club over a potential extension.
“I can honestly and objectively say that there have been no intensive discussions with the club at all, neither before the season nor now. I think that communication has started to get going a little recently,” Raum told Sky Germany.
“I want to lead by example through my performances and mentality, regardless of my contractual situation, and I will continue to do that until my very last day here in Leipzig. Whatever happens after that.”
With Manchester United and Juventus reportedly among the clubs interested in the left-back, Raum acknowledged that he is considering his next move with his wife.
“Of course, I’ll also involve my wife in these discussions: Where could we go, or do we stay here? Those are all things you naturally consider.”
Raum joined RB Leipzig from Hoffenheim in the summer of 2022.
