Pierre Ferracci announced his departure from the presidency of Paris FC during the club’s partner evening, stepping down months ahead of his original end-of-season schedule. At 74 years old, the executive will hand over leadership to Antoine Arnault, a representative of the club’s owning family, and transition into an honorary presidency.
The transition arrives earlier than the schedule established when the club was sold to the Arnault family and Red Bull in November 2024. Under that initial agreement, Pierre Ferracci was supposed to remain at the helm through the conclusion of the campaign. Instead, his final match as active club president is slated for November 1, when Paris FC faces Monaco at Jean-Bouin.
The formal handover requires ratification during a board of directors meeting scheduled for November 9. Alongside the leadership shift, Pierre Ferracci intends to transfer his 29.8% stake in the club to Agache Sport. Agache Sport serves as the sports subsidiary of the holding company owned by LVMH, which already holds a 52.4% stake in the club, while Red Bull controls the remaining 10.6%.
Pierre Ferracci first joined Paris FC in 2006 as an administrator for the association before securing full control in June 2012 by acquiring the shares of his former partner Guy Cotret. Across nearly twenty years of direct involvement, the executive oversaw massive infrastructural and competitive growth, including the establishment of a training center in Orly.
Under his direction, the club’s women’s section became one of the best in France, while the men’s team ascended through the divisions to secure promotion to Ligue 1 for the 2025-26 season—marking the club’s return to the top flight 46 years after its last appearance in the elite division.
Reflecting on the early exit, Pierre Ferracci expressed confidence in the club’s current standing and leadership trajectory. It’s the right time for me to pass the torch. Antoine Arnault is ready,
he told L’Equipe. For two years, he has been heavily involved in management, especially sporting matters. The club is in good hands, and I am happy to make this announcement when it is at the top of the table.
Antoine Arnault, son of Bernard Arnault, assumes command of the capital club as it establishes itself in Ligue 1 following the structural changes initiated by the late-2024 acquisition.
