Tyler Seguin finally returns, but Jason Robertson exits with an injury. That tracks with how the final seven games of the Dallas Stars’ season has gone.

Robertson took an awkward hit from Nashville’s Michael McCarron along the boards early in the second period of Dallas’ regular season finale against the Predators and limped off the ice. He went into the tunnel and didn’t return to the game.

The team announced he would miss the remainder of the game with a lower body injury.

With the Stars already locked into their playoff seeding in a first-round matchup with the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas trailing Nashville 5-1 through two periods, it didn’t make sense to bring Robertson back into the game.

It remains to be seen whether the injury could impact the playoff status of Dallas’ leading goal-scorer or this is merely a precautionary measure.
