Paris Saint-Germain hosts Olympique Lyonnais at the Parc des Princes on Monday, October 26, 2026, in a Ligue 1 clash for first place, Maxifoot reported. Before this 8e journée de Ligue 1, OL points to the first place in the classification, with 14 points, ahead of PSG on goal difference, according to RMC Sport. The club rhodanien devance the PSG à la différence de buts, while other matches like Toulouse-Troyes were affected and the LFP indicated that the Ligue 2 fixture between Montpellier and the Red Star is shifted to Monday, October 26.
Lyon captain Corentin Tolisso, aged 32 with 7 matches and 1 goal in L1 this season, spoke to the press ahead of the fixture, addressing the double European champions. The midfielder noted that Luis Enrique’s squad has demonstrated clear superiority recently by defeating Manchester City 4–2 and FC Barcelona 4–2 in the UEFA Champions League over a twelve-day span. Tolisso remarked that facing such an opponent is a positive test for his club, acknowledging that the reigning French champions are pursuing a treble. On peut être impressionné par le PSG,
he stated.
The capital club secured away victories against Marseille (2–1), Le Mans (3–1), and Strasbourg (3–1) prior to their European successes against Manchester City and Barcelona. Despite a growing injury list inside the dressing room, the French champions have scored at least two goals in each of their last four outings.

The prefecture of police weighed a rescheduling order because of a convergence of events in Paris, including weekend protests and an NFL regular-season game at the Stade de France that required significant law enforcement deployment. The discussions followed localized violence and looting recorded on Saturday, October 17, during demonstrations against the cost of living. The match was initially scheduled for Sunday at 20:45.
The defensive unit also arrives physically taxed following a European fixture in Germany against Hoffenheim, where the men of Paulo Fonseca play this Thursday during the regular phase of the Europa League. Meanwhile, Lyon’s left side misses Tagliafico and Ouédraogo.
The winner of Monday’s match at the Parc des Princes will claim sole possession of first place in Ligue 1. A draw would leave Stade Rennais atop the standings at the conclusion of the eighth matchday.
For this encounter, Winamax launched an exclusive BOOSTX10 offer on the Paris victory priced at 1.30. A deposit of 10 € makes a bettor eligible, allowing a stake of up to 10 € to turn the 1.30 odds instantly into 13.00 for a return of 130 € in Freebets, alongside a cash refund up to 100 € on the first wager if it loses.
