Ronald Araujo named Premier League player of the eighth round after Liverpool win

Liverpool defender Ronald Araujo has been voted the Premier League’s best player of the eighth round.

The Uruguay international impressed at right-back as Liverpool beat Brighton 2-0 at Anfield last weekend. Araujo made three tackles and eight clearances, while winning 100% of his aerial and ground duels.

Araujo is currently playing for Liverpool on loan. Reports have previously suggested that the Merseyside club are interested in signing the 27-year-old permanently from Barcelona.

Liverpool are fourth in the Premier League table.
