First taste of the pitch, complete. On Monday evening, FC Barcelona trained on the pitch at the Parc des Princes, where they will face Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday (9pm CEST). Both Barça and PSG are going into the encounter with a perfect six points from six in the UEFA Champions League.

The session began at 6.30pm local time, with Hansi Flick overseeing training for all 23 players who travelled to the French capital. They included Barça Atlètic players Hamza Abdelkarim and Àlex Campos, the latter receiving his first call-up to the Barça first team.

On the ball

The session featured warm-up exercises and plenty of ball work, with the aim of building confidence at the stadium ahead of this clash of European giants.

The workout came just moments after Flick and midfielder Pedri had shared their pre-game opinions with media.
