Isack Hadjar received a formal warning from the United States Grand Prix stewards after swerving towards Alex Albon during final practice in Austin.

The incident occurred at Turn 1 near the end of Saturday's session. The stewards found that Albon had moved to the outside to avoid impeding the approaching Red Bull, but Hadjar locked his brakes and abandoned his lap.

Hadjar then moved towards the Williams in what the decision described as retaliatory action.

Hadjar broke a rule that says drivers must not drive too slowly for no reason, make sudden, unpredictable moves or put anyone in danger.

The ruling therefore addressed Hadjar's response to the encounter, rather than finding that Albon had blocked him. A ruined lap was one matter; the reaction created a separate problem.
