Paulo César: “It’s the strength of this team”
The Paris Saint-Germain Women’s team coach and goalscorer Tara Elimbi Gilbert spoke to PSG TV following the Parisians’ 1–1 draw with Manchester City on Thursday 29 October 2026 at the Joie Stadium, on Matchday 3 of the group stage of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

“It’s a fair draw. We were up against a very good side, we know they’re the reigning champions here in the Premier League. They’re a team with some top-class players. We defended very well, as a team, we were good. We had chances to score, we didn’t take them in the first half, but in the second, I thought my team were really solid. We conceded a goal from a penalty and then we reacted quite quickly.

I’m very proud of the girls because they stuck to the game plan, they put into practice everything we’d discussed, and they deserve this draw today. I think that’s the strength of this team, the moment they’re prepared to suffer. Technically, the opposition were strong, but we rose to that challenge and, as a team, that shows the strength of this squad, its character and the players’ personalities. They’ve been rewarded for all the effort they put in over the 90 minutes.”
