Frank Acheampong scores again as Dalian Yingbo secure convincing victory over Shenzhen Peng City

Former Ghana international Frank Acheampong continued his impressive goal-scoring form in China after finding the net for the second consecutive match as Dalian Yingbo defeated Shenzhen Peng City 3-1 in the Chinese top flight on Saturday.

The experienced winger started the encounter and played the full 90 minutes as Dalian Yingbo delivered a strong performance to claim all three points in their Round 28 fixture at the Dalian Suoyuwan Football Stadium.

Acheampong’s latest goal further underlined his importance to the team, with the Ghanaian attacker maintaining his influence in the final third as the Chinese league season approaches its closing stages.

Dalian Yingbo made an excellent start to the contest, taking the lead just eight minutes after kick-off through Romanian attacker Nicolae Stanciu. The early goal gave the hosts confidence and placed Shenzhen Peng City under immediate pressure.

The home side continued to control proceedings and extended their advantage shortly before half-time. Jing Luo found the back of the net in the 42nd minute to make it 2-0, giving Dalian Yingbo a comfortable lead heading into the break.

After the restart, Dalian Yingbo maintained their attacking intensity and found another goal, with Acheampong getting on the scoresheet to strengthen the hosts’ advantage and move them closer to victory.

The goal marked the second consecutive match in which the former Black Stars winger had found the net, highlighting his current form and growing contribution to Dalian Yingbo’s attacking efforts.

Acheampong had produced a remarkable display in his previous outing, scoring all four goals as Dalian Yingbo recorded a commanding 4-0 victory over Qingdao West Coast.

That four-goal performance demonstrated his ability to take control of a match and deliver decisive contributions in front of goal. His latest strike against Shenzhen Peng City further reinforced the impression that he is enjoying an outstanding spell at club level.

Shenzhen Peng City managed to pull one goal back in stoppage time through Chinese winger Wai-Tsun Dai, but the late effort proved insufficient to change the outcome as Dalian Yingbo held on for a 3-1 victory.

The result handed the hosts an important three points, while Acheampong once again played a key role in their attacking performance.

The Ghanaian winger has now recorded 12 goals and four assists this season, taking his direct goal contributions to 16 across the campaign. Those numbers underline his effectiveness in front of goal and his ability to contribute to the team’s attacking play through both scoring and creating opportunities.

For a player who has previously represented Ghana at international level, his continued productivity in China demonstrates the experience and attacking quality he brings to his club.

Acheampong’s pace, movement and ability to operate in advanced positions have made him an important attacking option for Dalian Yingbo. His recent performances also suggest that he is finding consistency at a crucial stage of the season.

Scoring five goals across his last two matches, including the extraordinary four-goal haul against Qingdao West Coast, would provide a significant confidence boost as he seeks to maintain his form in the remaining fixtures.

His ability to deliver in consecutive matches will be particularly encouraging for Dalian Yingbo, who will be looking to finish the campaign strongly and make the most of their attacking strengths.

Acheampong will now aim to build on his impressive scoring record and continue helping his team secure positive results as the Chinese top-flight season progresses.
