London tonight hosts the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony, as the biggest stars in football descend on the capital for the sport’s most prestigious night.
Harry Kane is the favourite as he looks to make history in the capital by becoming only the fifth English player to win the award - and 25 years since the last, which was Michael Owen.
Both Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal will hope to have a thing or two to say about that, with the Real Madrid and Barcelona stars the biggest rivals to Kane.
The ceremony begins tonight at 8pm, with the London Palladium set to host the event, but there is movement on the awards long before that time.
Between 5pm and 7.30pm, rankings from 30th to 11th will be announced on social media.
During which time, players, coaches and other invited guests will arrive at the London Palladium ahead of an 8pm ceremony start.
Thierry Henry and Kate Scott will present the evening and start the process of giving out awards, including the men’s and women’s Ballon d’Or prizes and awards for emerging talent, goalkeepers, strikers, coaches and clubs.
The men’s Ballon d’Or winner is expected to be announced at around 10pm, which will then be swiftly followed by the winner interviews and other media duties as the ceremony ends.
