HARDROCK FC face another stern test in their quest for the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title when they take on Dynamos at Rufaro Stadium in Harare this Saturday.
The Kwekwe-based side has enjoyed an impressive campaign under coach Kelvin Kaindu and currently sits at the top of the league standings with 63 points, two ahead of second-placed Scottland FC.
With four games to go before the end of the season, a win against Dynamos will push Hardrock closer to winning the title, and they will join Scottland and Black Rhinos among the teams to have won the PSL title in their debut seasons.
During the first leg, Dynamos won 2-1 in a match that made headlines after it was abandoned with the score tied at 1-1 in the 74th minute at Chahwanda Stadium in Kwekwe due to violence and hooliganism.
The remaining 15 minutes were played a month later after a boardroom decision to continue the match at a neutral venue, with Dynamos eventually winning 2-1.
Hardrock head into Saturday’s match bubbling with confidence, having won their last seven league games.
The last time they lost a league match was in July, when they were beaten 2-1 by Triangle at Chahwanda Stadium.
Meanwhile, Dynamos has struggled for consistency in recent weeks, winning just one of their last five league matches.
The Harare giants have recorded draws against Triangle, FC Platinum and Scottland, while their only victory in that run came against Herentals.
Dynamos coach has, however, openly highlighted that the team is now targeting a top four finish.
The Harare giants currently sit fourth on the log with 49 points, 14 points behind log leaders Hardrock FC.
