Dele Alli made sure to give Chelsea legend John Terry a hard time as Tottenham celebrated their first win at Stamford Bridge in eight years.
Dele Alli certainly knows a thing or two about winning at Stamford Bridge as a Tottenham Hotspur player, having been part of the side that secured a first victory at the ground in decades.
Back in 2018, it was very much the Alli show. Chelsea took the lead through Alvaro Morata before Christian Eriksen equalised with a stunning strike just before half-time. In the second half, Alli stole the spotlight, netting a brace to end the Stamford Bridge curse in style.
Fittingly, Alli was at Stamford Bridge to witness Spurs’ latest triumph – their first win at the ground since his heroics in 2018. He was joined by Chelsea legend John Terry, sitting alongside the former Spurs midfielder in the stands.
While the game remained level for long spells, Tottenham finally broke through in the 77th minute courtesy of a Penders own goal, before sealing the win in the 87th with a brilliant solo strike from Tel -much to the delight of former Spurs star Dele Alli.
Alli made sure to show his support throughout, playfully rubbing it in John Terry’s face as Spurs celebrated. After Spurs took the lead, Alli panned his camera toward the former Chelsea captain, who looked visibly dejected.
Later in the second half, Alli shared another update, this time showing Terry’s seat empty after the ex-Chelsea man decided to leave early.
Chelsea’s poor performance combined with Alli’s cheeky antics saw Terry depart before the final whistle, while the former Spurs midfielder and the rest of the Lilywhites faithful revelled in a memorable victory.

Alli has been without a club for over a year after his contract with Como was terminated by mutual consent on 2 September 2025.
Dele has remained busy training as he aims to return to professional football. Speaking on one of his recent streams, the former Spurs star said: “I know you all wanna know the situation and what’s going on but like I said I’m training every day.
“There are things lined up, could be things happening soon. If not, there’s multiple different plans of action, but I will be back on the pitch in God’s name.”
