David Raya is hoping his "remarkable season" for Arsenal is enough for him to win the Yashin Trophy.
The Spaniard is one of ten goalkeepers up for the award, which will be handed out at the Ballon d'Or ceremony next week.
Raya finished seventh in the voting for the top goalkeeper prize last year, as Gianluigi Donnarumma took home the awardx.
That was the first time the former Brentford shot-stopper had made the final shortlist and he is expected to improve on that finish this year.

World Cup winning goalkeeper Unai Simon, who starts ahead of Raya for Spain, is among those also in the running, along with Thibaut Courtois and Emiliano Martinez.
Matvey Safonov is on the shortlist too, after his Paris Saint-Germain side beat Arsenal in the Champions League final last season.
Raya kept 19 clean sheets in the Premier League last term. He was also named in the Champions League team of the season, having kept nine clean sheets in 14 appearances in the competition.
The goalkeeper spoke to the media ahead of Arsenal's big European showdown with Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
Asked about his status as one of the best goalkeepers in the world and his chances of winning the Yashin Trophy, Raya said: "I'm delighted to hear those comments and what people think, especially you guys.
"I just think that I've done a remarkable season. I picked up where I left off and just tried to be the best for myself and the team to win matches.
"I'm nominated and hopefully I'm in the conversation of winning. We will see, that's on Monday. Now the important thing is to win tomorrow, but delighted with the comments and everything. Thank you."
