Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw are, reportedly, set to miss Manchester United’s Premier League meeting against Leeds.
Both players have emerged as big doubts for the trip to Elland Road on Sunday after missing the defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League earlier in the week.
Upon confirming Lisandro Martinez will be in the squad after apologising for his extraordinary outburst and the latest on Benjamin Sesko, Man United head coach Michael Carrick remained tight-lipped over the fitness of Mainoo and Shaw.
“He’s part of the squad, yeah,” Carrick said of the Argentine in Friday's pre-match press conference.
“We’ll see on Luke and Kobbie.
“Ben’s kind of still undergoing a couple of checks before we update on timelines or anything. We’re just trying to be clear with what that looks like.
“He’s still a little bit further away, but when we know we’ll let you know.”

It has since been reported and picked up by Man Utd fans on social media that neither Mainoo or Shaw have travelled with the squad to Elland Road, placing their involvement in further doubt.
There is a scenario where both players may have travelled down separately, but all will be revealed at 12.45pm BST when the Man United team to face Leeds is announced.
If Shaw is unavailable for selection once again, it remains to be seen who fills in at left-back as Patrick Dorgu remains on the sidelines after sustaining an injury for Denmark during the international break.
Carrick, though, does have plenty of options at his disposal in midfield as Carlos Baleba’s timely return from injury could see him make his first Premier League start for the Red Devils, while Andrey Santos will hope to start of Mainoo is ruled out.
United are in desperate need of a win having gone five games without one across all competitions.
