Josh Jacobs was the subject of fans' ire after his touchdown celebration against the Carolina Panthers garnered attention.

Jacobs played in his second game of the 2026 NFL season Thursday after missing the first six weeks after being placed on the Commissioner's Exempt list following his arrest during the offseason after an alleged domestic violence incident with a woman. Against the Panthers in the second quarter, the Green Bay Packers star scored his first rushing touchdown of the year.

In the endzone, Jacobs immediately put his head down with his hands behind his back, seemingly pantomiming being arrested after the score.

Fans quickly clocked the celebration with one account writing, "#PACKERS RB JOSH JACOBS PRETENDED HE WAS GETTING HANDCUFFED AFTER SCORING A TOUCHDOWN. JACOBS WAS ARRESTED EARLIER THIS YEAR IN CONNECTION WITH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ALLEGATIONS. THIS IS INSANE."

Another account wrote, "Force feeding Josh Jacobs there was annoying. Then him celebrating with handcuffs was gross." A third posted, "Bro turned his domestic violence into a touchdown dance. Impressive in the worst way."

A fourth wrote on X that Jacobs' actions are indicative of a larger issue with the star, claiming that he appeared not to care about his arrest and the seriousness of his actions. "This dude is classic example of men who never learn from their mistakes. IQ sub 80. Infantile mind," the comment read.

A fan believed that Jacobs would be fined for his celebration. The sentiment regarding Jacobs' celebration seemingly was of general disapproval, with a comment fiercely decrying the star's actions, especially in light of how bad the decision looks from all angles.

"Josh Jacobs is a f------ disgusting human being. Acting like he was getting handcuffs put on him after he was literally arrested for domestic violence is disgusting. Just the worst celebration possible man," a fan posted on X.
