Leeds 1-1 Manchester United: Bryan Mbeumo goal not enough as winless run stretches to six games
Michael Carrick lauds side's 'togetherness' despite Lisandro Martínez's explosive UCL interview

Manchester United’s winless run now stands at six games after being held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds.

In a tough week for Man United, largely dominated by Lisandro Martinez’s post-Atletico Madrid outburst, matters on the pitch are still looking rather bleak as they sit just two points clear of the Premier League relegation zone.

Michael Carrick’s side were, in truth, far better in comparison to last week’s draw at home to 10-man Tottenham and were ahead at the interval thanks to Bryan Mbeumo’s smart finish.

However, a defensive reshuffle at the break which saw Martinez substituted and replaced by Noussair Mazraoui ultimately proved costly.

Within minutes of the restart, Mazraoui lost Tarik Muharemovic at a corner and Dominic Calvert-Lewin latched onto the flick from his Leeds team-mate and fired the ball into the corner past Senne Lammens.
