Robby Robinson continues to defy Father Time, even after stepping away from the bodybuilding stage. In a recent Instagram post (October 19, 2026), he showed off a side-by-side physique comparison spanning 56 years, and still looks ripped at 80.
Robinson made a name for himself in the IFBB Pro League throughout the 1970s. He pushed himself against legends of the Men’s Open class, including former three-time Olympia champ Frank Zane, Mike Mentzer, and the late Albert Beckles.
In his prime, Robinson managed to secure titles at the Mr. America, Mr. World, Mr. Universe, Night of Champions, and the Masters Olympia. From consistent training sessions to his anti-aging supplement stack, “The Black Prince” still monitors his longevity and overall health closely.
In 2025, Robinson became the target of a viral internet hoax, which claimed he had died at 78. The rumor caught fire on social media and quickly circulated. However, the bodybuilding legend made it clear that he was alive and well. Despite reaching his eighties, Robinson isn’t slowing down and continues to challenge himself.
In the Instagram post, Robinson encouraged his followers to embrace challenges to become stronger.
“DON’T Limit your CHALLENGES CHALLENGE your LIMITS-WHEN LIFE gets HARDER -Challenge yourself to Be STRONGER. -RR,” Robby Robinson posted.

Bodybuilding greats took to Robinson’s comment section to give their thoughts on his lifelong progress:
“Ageless Black Prince 🙏🏽🫵🏽,” shared Lee Haney.
“Just incredible… still an inspiration,” wrote Lee Labrada.
Robby Robinson isn’t the only Golden Era bodybuilder staying in remarkable shape. Seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger is still training hard and eating clean at 79. In addition to his acting schedule, “The Austrian Oak” hosts the annual Arnold Classic each season, serving as the second-biggest bodybuilding event of the year.
Lee Labrada is another elite-level bodybuilder who has aged gracefully. According to Labrada, bodybuilding has helped him stay young in retirement. He also showcased a side-by-side comparison of his physique from when he was 28 years old to 51:
“Bodybuilding is the closest thing we have to the fountain of youth. Exercise regularly, eat clean year-round, get lots of rest… live the lifestyle.” Lee Labrada shared.
Robby Robinson’s passion for bodybuilding continues to drive him towards personal growth in retirement. He remains committed to staying fit and healthy beyond the stage.
