The global one makes the event

Al-Nassr thrashed hosts Pakhtakor 6-2 in Uzbekistan on Monday evening in the fourth round of the AFC Champions League Elite. "Al-Alami" dominated with their attacking power, and Joao Felix stole the limelight with an exceptional display despite the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Chasing a second win in the competition after their fixture against UAE side Al-Wasl was postponed, Al-Nassr turned their attacking superiority into a six-goal haul with contributions from more than one player. Felix drove the win, scoring twice and adding two assists.

Félix lights up the clash with a brace and two assists

The Portuguese star started by making the first goal, threading a magical pass to Abdullah Al-Hamdan in the 15th minute. The Saudi striker lashed it into the net. Two minutes later, Felix got on the scoresheet himself, dribbling past the Pakhtakor defence inside the box before slotting home.

He wasn't done there. Felix found the net again in the 32nd minute, latching onto a pass from Senegal's Sadio Mane to complete his brace. Then came another contribution in the 53rd minute, when he swung in a well-placed corner that Abdulelah Al-Amri headed home.

Gharib and Angelo complete Al-Nassr's six signings

Ange Postecoglou rang the changes in the second half, and one of his substitutes made it count. Abdulrahman Ghareeb struck Al-Nassr's fifth in the 62nd minute, latching onto a Sadio Mane pass as the visitors kept piling the pressure on their hosts.

Angelo Gabriel made it six in the 79th minute. He pounced on a brilliant piece of individual skill from Abdullah Al-Hamdan to find the net and seal Al-Nassr's dominance, rounding off a 6-2 rout.

8 goal contributions for Felix in two matches

Felix has racked up eight goal contributions across his last two matches. He laid on four assists in the win over Al-Khaleej in the twelfth round of the Roshn League, then scored twice and provided two more assists against Pakhtakor. That makes four goal contributions in back-to-back matches for the second time running, and the fourth in his professional career.

The victory lifted Al-Nassr to six points in the AFC Champions League Elite, a second win that hands them a crucial boost in their continental campaign. Felix, meanwhile, keeps proving his attacking worth. He has become one of the most important keys to success in Postecoglou's line-up.
