Chelsea FC Women have signed promising 17-year-old forward Rachael Adedini on her first professional contract.

The France youth international, born in Le Havre and of Nigerian descent, arrives from Manchester City’s academy after earlier spells at Manchester United and French clubs.

A dynamic and versatile attacker capable of playing as a central striker or out wide, Adedini has already made a strong impression at international level.

She has earned 24 caps for France Under-17s and featured at Under-19 level, finishing as the top scorer at the UEFA Women’s Under-17 European Championship with nine goals across three consecutive tournaments.

She equalled the competition’s all-time scoring record and claimed the Golden Boot after helping France reach the 2026 final.

On signing, Adedini expressed her excitement, saying she was “very happy” and “grateful” to join Chelsea. She noted that her brother is a big fan of the club, making the move a source of pride for her and her family.

The Blues have extended a warm welcome as they look forward to her development in the Women’s Super League.
